I love this movie! I saw it in the theater when it came out, and then we had a copy of the HBO version on VHS for a while until it got copied over. Then I lost it. Nice to see the clips again.

I haven't been watching that much new anime lately so I am just waiting for 2nd seasons for Youko Senki and Lycoris Recoil. Fuuto Pi is really good one though. It's anime sequel to tokusatsu series Kamen Rider W.

No body ever talk about buso renkin, about a high schooler joining a group of alchemist warriors to fight hommuculi. Or blassreiter, a kamen rider like anime with themes around religion and the four horsemen. Also do anyone know of the testujin 28 anime from the 2000s

I use to have Record Of Lodoss War TV Series DVD box set, but last year I gave that to my friend, and he gave me DVD Box set of 1995 anime The Slayers. And I really love it. It has unique comedy, interesting stories abd likable characters.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED this show as a kid and recorded it faithfully on Nickelodeon before school. Bought the DVD on my 40th birthday. Zia's Theme music is awesome.

I remember seeing a few episodes of "Mushishi" and "Baccano" back when I visited an anime club at college. Never heard of your other choices, but hopefully I'll see them someday.

I've heard of Baccanno before thanks to the former UA-camr Lew Toons, he did a list of his favourite anime characters a year or two before he left UA-cam and he included the two characters who accidentally made themselves immortal.

There are so many anime that I'd like to watch but due to how long they are it would take up too much time to catch up. The Team Four Star channel has been hit so many times by copyright strikes from Japan, mostly Toei Animation.

soukou no strain was a good anime (a bit too convoluted for its own good) and the final episodes feel rushed but it is a hidden gem imho.

"Bennett the Sage" is a UA-camr with interesting coverage of older anime. I might recommend using some of his work as a template when talking about anime. The only useful tip I would have would be to finish your video early and put it through the copyright process well before publishing.

My grandpa was a friend of the animator, he (grandpa) lived in NJ and moved to CO. We watched this as kids. I can't offer much else in the way of commentary - it's weird, racist at the mushroom part, and sort of cute at the same time. Super weird story. Thistle is the best.

You forgot to mention that the major difference between the original one and the new garbage is that the animators at that time were the same generation of Takahata and Miyazaki and actually the worked with them in many occasion and made our memory. At that time the animation used to be drawn and not computer generated. That what made them authentic an full of life unlike the new ones who seem to me alien and goofy.
